Cindy Bass Gets Rendell's Endorsement for 8th District
The former mayor and governor endorsed the candidate for the 8th Council District.
Former Philadelphia mayor and Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell has endorsed for the 8th District's City Council seat.
“Like much of the country, Philadelphia faces considerable financial and quality-of-life challenges," Rendell said in a news release. "I’m confident that Cindy is just the kind of public servant who will bring the needed integrity, competence and heart, to get our city positioned for a prosperous, productive future and to assure we have safe neighborhoods in which to live and raise our families."
Bass has also been endorsed by District Attorney Seth Williams, Mayor Michael Nutter and others.

She responded by saying she was "proud and honored" to get Rendell's endorsement.
