Woman Steals $240 worth of Laundry Detergent

A woman leaves Acme with more than $240 worth of detergent.

A woman stole more than $240 worth of Tide brand laundry detergent from the Acme located at 7010 Germantown Ave. on Sept. 5, police said.

An Acme employee observed a woman enter the store and then load her shopping cart with detergent, police said.

She then exited the store through the entrance where there is no security alarm, police said.

Police valued the stolen detergent at $245.
