Two Displaced By Wyndmoor Gardens Fire

The apartment fire occurred late Saturday night.

Two residents were displaced by an apartment fire at , 219 E. Willow Grove Ave., Saturday night, according to the Southeast Pennsylvania chapter of the American Red Cross.

Captain Jeffrey Thompson of the Philadelphia Fire Marshal’s office said that the fire department responded to , apartment T-2, at 11:31 p.m.

“Primary and secondary searches did not find any injuries,” Thompson said.

The fire began in the kitchen of the apartment, and was under control at 11:48 p.m.

The two adult residents of the apartment are currently staying at a Red Cross house, a temporary housing facility for those displaced by fires and other disasters, according to Red Cross spokesman Dave Schrader.
