Through Partnership, Public Can Now View City Crime Statistics Online

Six months of data are available.

The Philadelphia Police Department, through a partnership with Crimereports.com, published preliminary crime statistics using Google-based mapping, a release from the department stated.

CrimeReports.com allows the public to search through six months of preliminary Part I crime data from the Philadelphia Police Department, based on address, crime type and/or date.

“It’s easy to use, timely, and gives residents and businesses direct access through the Department’s website to crime data in their neighborhoods," Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said in the release. “Helping our communities stay informed is a necessary part of our crime prevention strategy.”
