The 14th District is Organizing a Flea Market for the Community

Captain Joel Dales sent out a release on an upcoming flea market, which he hopes will establish a better partnership with the community.

The 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department is looking to establish a better relationship with the neighborhoods it serves. One of their first steps, according to a release from Captain Joel Dales, is to host a flea market for the community in July.

The market will be held at Vernon Park, 5900 Germantown Avenue, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those interested in purchasing a space at the flea market can contact Community Relations Office Calvin Johns at 215-685-2147. The cost for an eight-foot space at the market is $50 for non-licensed vendors and $75 for vendors with a license. The deadline to purchase a space is July 2.

Participants are asked to supply their own tables. According to the release, the department is expecting a turnout of more than 300 people.
