Police Seek Man in Carjackings

Police are looking for a man believed to be involved in two Philadelphia carjackings.

Police and the FBI are seeking assistance in locating a man they believe to be responsible for several carjackings in the area.

On June 7 and June 8, police believe that Joshua Gutierrez and several accomplices threatened two separate men at gunpoint, stealing their vehicles, wallets and phones.

His last know whereabouts were in the 4700 block of Shelmire Avenue in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, the 500 block of East Ashmead Street in East Germantown and the 2700 block of Waterloo Street in Fairhill, police said.

Gutierrez is 22 years old, five feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

He has a tattoo on his left forearm that features two clowns faces bracketed by the words “That’s Life,” police said.

Gutierrez is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to his capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
