Police Seek Info on Man Who Robbed Two Women

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed two women on East Mount Airy Avenue.

Police seek information about a man who robbed two females in the 1000 block of East Mount Airy Avenue.

An unknown male approached two women ages 52 and 57 from behind and stated, “May I ask you a question?” Police said.

When one of the females responded to the man, police said the man reached under his shirt as if he had a handgun and said, “Give me what you got.”

The woman gave the man $20, and then he asked if either of them had cell phones.  Police said both women said no.

The man then ran off, heading east on East Mount Airy Avenue.

The Philadelphia Police Department provided the following description: black male, 20-30 years old, 5 feet 11 inched tall, thin build, beard, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and dark colored sneakers.

If you see this man, police caution that you do not approach him, but instead contact 911 immediately.
