Police Respond to Lunch Meat Theft

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Not every police report is about a robbery or an act of violence. Sometimes, they just make you scratch your head. This is one such report.

Approximately $50 in lunch meat was reported stolen from the Chestnut Hill Pathmark, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, a witness observed a man, estimated by police to be between the ages of 36 and 40, take $50 in lunch meat from the store's counter without paying and then fled the scene on foot.

The man was last seen heading south on Crittenden Street.
