Police Respond to Car Thefts in Chestnut Hill

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Police responded to two incidents of theft from cars in Chestnut Hill, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, a resident stated that they had parked their car on the 8200 of Germantown Avenue on Dec. 6. The resident returned to their car at approximately 7:20 a.m. and found the front passenger window and had taken two GPS systems.

On the same day, a different resident reported that, after parking their car on the same block of Germantown Avenue on Dec. 6, they returned to their car a 6 a.m. to find the rear passenger window broke. The vehicle was ransacked, but nothing of value was reported missing.

Over $410 in merchandise and miscellaneous items was reported missing in the two incidents.
