Police: Penn National Bank Robbed Monday By Note

The robbery occurred at 11:32 a.m. Monday, police said.

, 9 W. Evergreen Ave., was robbed Monday morning, according to Philadelphia police.

Officer Jillian Russell, a spokeswoman for the police department, said that a male in his early 30s, described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing dark glasses and a blue hooded sweartshirt, entered the bank at 11:32 a.m. Monday.

The man used a note to demand money from a teller, and an unknown amount of money was taken, according to Russell. No weapon was displayed.

The man, who acted alone, police said, fled westbound on Evergreen Avenue on foot.
