Police: Gunpoint Robbery of Radio Shack Day After Christmas

Two employees were held at gunpoint while the store was robbed, according to police.

The day after Christmas, two men entered the Radio Shack at 7723 Crittenden St. and robbed the cashier at gunpoint, according to police.

On Dec. 26, around 8:45 p.m., two employees of the store reported that two men entered the store armed with a black handgun and told the employees to “back up; don’t move.”

The armed men took an unknown amount of cash from the register and $7,000 worth of cell phones, laptops, televisions and GPS systems, and then took the employees to a back room and told them to get down on the floor, according to police. The robbers attempted to tie up the employees before fleeing out the back door of the store, police said.
