Police Blotter: Witness Gets Burglar's License Plate Number

Burglary … A resident of the 8100 block of Ardleigh Street reported June 3, 4:30 p.m., that he returned home to find a glass panel on his door was broken and a jewelry box, containing approximate $10,000 in jewelry, was missing, police said.

Theft from auto … A woman reported June 10, 5:20 p.m., that while parked on the unit block of Valley Green Road,  she and her friend left their handbags in the car and when they returned, the handbags were missing, police said. According to police, one woman’s credit cards were used to make $1,300 in purchases and another’s was used to make a $3,100 cash withdraw.

Theft from auto … A man reported June 1, 7 p.m., that while he was parked at Forbidden Drive and Northwestern Avenue, someone entered his car, took his wallet, and used his credit card in several locations, police said.

Burglary … Police responded to a burglar alarm June 5, 2:40 p.m., on the 400 block of West Moreland Avenue to find a side door had been kicked in, although nothing appeared to be missing, police said. According to police, a witness saw two men leaving the house get into a black SUV with tinted windows with the license plate number HZN0234.
