Police Blotter: Wallets, Rocking Chairs and a Car Stolen

Theft ... A student at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 8000 Cherokee St., reported Jan. 11, 5 p.m., that a wallet, keys and gift cards had been taken from her bag inside the school, police said.

Theft ... A woman reported Jan. 11, 2:30 p.m., that while she was at , 8620 Germantown Ave., someone took her wallet from her coat pocket, police said.

Theft ... A resident of the 8100 block of Ardleigh Street reported Jan. 10, 6 p.m., that two wooden rocking chairs, valued at $200, had been taken from her front porch, police said.

Theft ... An employee of Fairview Care Center, 184 Bethlehem Pike, reported Jan. 7, 1 p.m., that someone had taken 27 Xanax pills from a nursing cart, police said.

Stolen vehicle ... A resident of the unit block of West Bells Mill Road reported Jan. 8, 11 a.m., that he left his unlocked car in front of his home, with the keys inside, and it was stolen, police said. According to police, the car was a 2008 block car, make and model unknown, with Pennsylvania registration plate number FXG8561 and was valued at $50,000.
