Police Blotter: Disgruntled Man Takes 11 iPads

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Burglary … A resident of the 100 block of East Benezet Street reported April 27, 10 p.m., that he came downstairs to find a kitchen window open and a damaged window frame, and a plant that was inside the house was found in the yard, police said.

Retail theft … An employee of , 7700 Crittenden Street, reported April 27, 4:35 p.m., that a man walked out of the store with 10 bags of shrimp without paying, police said.

Burglary … The manager of apartment complex, 7800 Stenton Ave., reported April 26 that a door to one of the unit was damaged and the apartment was ransacked, but the resident could not be contacted to check if anything was missing, police said.

Burglary … An employee of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 500 W. Willow Grove Ave. reported April 26, 11:58 a.m. that a former teacher at the school who was fired came back and took 11 iPads from the campus, police said.

Burglary … An employee of the , 8229 Germantown Ave., reported April 23, 8:30 a.m, that a window of the market was broken and several cash registers were damaged, although it is unknown if any money was taken, police said.
