Police Blotter: Burglaries on East Mermaid Lane and Ardleigh Street

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Theft from auto …  A man reported Oct. 22, 4:30 p.m., that while he was parked at the , 7 Valley Green Road, someone entered his car and a messenger bag, clothes and other items were missing, said.

Burglary … A resident of the 200 block of East Mermaid Lane reported Oct. 20, 2:30 p.m., that the glass on a sliding door of his home was broken and a television, video games and two purses were missing, police said.

Burglary … A resident of the 7800 block of Ardleigh Street reported Oct. 18, 8:30 p.m., that she saw someone kicking in the rear door of her home when she returned, and when police arrived some jewelry was missing, police said.

Theft … A woman reported Oct. 15, 9:30 p.m., that when she was getting off the bus at Germantown and Evergreen avenues, she realized that someone had taken her handbag, police said.

Theft … A man reported Oct. 17, 9 a.m., that he left his bicycle and bag outside of a store on the 8300 block of Germantown Avenue and when he returned, the bag was missing, police said.
