Police Blotter: Bicycle Stolen from Norman Lane

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Theft ... A resident of the 200 block of East Mermaid Lane reported Sept. 8, 12 a.m., that she had workers fixing a leak in her home, and afterwards realized her checkbook was missing, police said.

Theft from auto ... A man reported Sept. 8, 9:30 a.m., that while he was parked on the 200 block of East Willow Grove Avenue, someon entered his unlocked car and a Dell laptop, laptop bag and blood pressure monitor, with a combined value of $1080, was missing, police said.

Burglary ... A resident of the 200 block of East Mermaid Lane reported Sept. 5, 5 p.m., that sometime between Sept. 3 and 7, someone entered her backyard by damaging her gate and pulled a screen down to attempt entry into her home, police said.

Theft from auto ... A man reported Sept. 5, 4:30 p.m., that while he was parked on the 8000 block of Cherokee Street outside of the , someone broke his driver-side door and $75 cash, creit cards, house keys and a personal check were missing.

Theft from auto ... A woman reported Sept. 5, 4:20 p.m., that while she was parked at West Springfield Avenue and Wolcott Drive, someone broke her driver-side window and a black handbag, debit cards, an iPod, a make-up bag and $20 cash were missing, police said.

Theft ... A resident of the unit block of Norman Lane reported Sept. 4, 6 p.m., that someone took a red Fuji Roubaix bicycle, valued at $1,300, that was locked up outside his house, police said.
