Police Blotter: Assault By Dinner Plate

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Burglary … A resident of the 100 block of West Hartwell Lane reported March 18, 5:30 p.m., that someone forced open a rear kitchen window to his home and a laptop, gift cards and jewelry, totaling $2,750 in value, were missing, police said.

Aggravated assault … A resident of the 200 block of East Willow Grove Avenue reported March 18, 3 a.m., that he and his girlfriend were arguing and she threw a plate at him, striking him and causing a small gash in his neck, police said.

Retail theft … An employee of El Quetzal reported March 17, 12 p.m., that she observed a woman take about $50 in costume jewelry from the store without paying, police said.

Burglary … A resident of the 200 block of East Gravers Lane reported March 17, 8:12 p.m. that, after police responded to an alarm at her home earlier in the day and found a door forced open, she checked the house and found $5,000 in jewelry was missing, police said.

Burglary … Police responded to an alarm on the unit block of Norman Lane March 12, 11:45 a.m., to find a window on the first floor pried open, did a walk through, but found no one inside, police said.
