Police Blotter: $25,000 Persian Rug Stolen

Theft from auto … A woman reported Dec. 22, 7:59 p.m., that while she was parked on the 7600 block of Germantown Avenue, someone entered her car and a pocketknife, credit and debit cards and a bible were missing, police said.

Theft … The owner of , 7725 Germantown Ave., reported Dec. 23, 2 p.m., that someone had taken her wallet from her unlocked office at the bakery and used one of her credit cards at a Target store in the amount of $95, police said.

Retail theft … The general manager of , 8038 Germantown Ave., reported Dec. 20 that sometime in the last month, someone removed an 11’ by 15’ Persian rug , valued at $25,000, from the store’s showroom, police said.
