Police Arrest Man on Alleged Break-In

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Police arrested a Philadelphia man when he allegedly tried to break in to a Mt. Airy home, according to a report from the Philadelphia Police Department.

Police responded to a call on the 100 block of W Washington Lane and allegedly heard the man attempting to break window bars to access the basement. Police on the scene reportedly heard the man enter the house before calling in requests for additional support.

K9 units found the man in the house and, after a short chase through the nearby neighborhood, SWAT teams apprehended the man.

Charges against the man have not been released.
