UPDATE: A four-year old is the second person to die following a single-car accident on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton Township Friday morning, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

ORIGINAL: A Philadelphia man has been identified as the victim in an accident that took place on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton Township Friday morning, 6 ABC reports.

James Dennis, 35, was among three people riding in the bed of a pickup truck when it flipped, according to the report. Two other adults from Philadelphia and an unknown juvenile were also in the bed of the truck.

Dennis was killed, while a Philadelphia woman who was driving the truck and a 4-year-old girl were taken to a local hospital in critical condition, according to the report.

This was an act of utter stupidity. Riding in the open back of a pickup truck on the A.C. Expressway. How the hell did they NOT get pulled over ? God Bless that 4 yr olds soul.

It is disappointing and anger-making that anyone would do this. The child deserved better.
