More Than $12,000 in Items Stolen in Burglary, Polcie Say

A laptop is also stolen from Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in a different police report.

Burglary: On April 2, at approximately 3:10 p.m., police received a report of a burglary in the 500 block of Woodbrook Lane.  According to police, the homeowner returned to his house to discover his rear basement door kicked in.  The alarm wires and telephone lines had also been pulled out.  Police say that several items were stolen from the master bedroom and another bedroom.  Those items include a 40-inch television, diamond and gold jewelry and $200 cash.  Police value the stolen items at more than $12,000.

Theft: On April 2, at approximately 11:18 a.m., police received a report of a theft in the 8000 block of Cherokee Street.  According to police, a laptop was stolen from the student study longue of the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
