Mt. Airy Track Club Clarification
Previous stories claiming the Mt. Airy Track Club did not exist were wrong. The club exists, but they do not solicit door to door.
I published a story on Friday titled, "The Mt. Airy Track Club Does Not Exist."
That headline was wrong. The Mt. Airy Track Club does exist, and it's an upstanding organization that does a lot of good in the community.
However, there is a man who goes door to door in Mt. Airy soliciting donations for the Mt. Airy Track Club.
He is in no way affiliated with the actual Mt. Airy Track Club.
The real Mt. Airy Track Club does not solicit door to door.
If a man comes to your house asking for money for the Mt. Airy Track Club do not give him any.
The best course of action would be to politely refuse, close the door and call the police.
