Mink Coat Stolen from Home, Police Say

More than $14,000 in items are stolen from a home.

Burglary: On April 12, at approximately 9:45 p.m., police received a report of a theft in the 900 block of Woodbrook Lane.  According to police, the homeowner returned to discover a burglary at her house.  Police say that the rear kitchen security and main doors had been pried open.  The two upstairs bedrooms were also ransacked, and, police say, several items were taken.  The stolen items included a laptop and a mink coat.  Police value the stolen items at $14,500.

Theft: On April 12, at approximately 3:10 a.m., police received a report of a theft in the 6300 block of Carnation Street.  According to police, a man parked his car on the street and went into his home with the car unlocked.  Police say, the man came out to his car later to find his dome light on and his car rummaged through.  Police added that several CDs were stolen and values at $150.
