Man Robs Store at Gunpoint

A man robs a 99 Cent Store on Stenton Avenue at Gunpoint.

Aug. 28, an unknown male stole $300 in cash at gunpoint from the 99 Cent Gift Shop Store located at 7417 Stenton Ave. at approximately 2:24 p.m., police said.

Surveillance footage show a man wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and a white stocking covering his face approach the register at the store and point a gun at the man behind the counter.

The man demanded the money from the register, and also the money from the store worker’s wallet, police said.

Police did not disclose how much money was in the register, but the man working in the store was carrying between $200-300.

Police say that the man who took the money was between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches and weighed approximately 180 pounds.

Surveillance footage shows the man heading north on Stenton Avenue and then west on Barringer Street.
