Man Robbed in the Northwest, Police Say

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

A Northwest man was robbed near the 100 block of E Walnut Lane, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, the man was walking near Walnut Lane and Bayton Street when he was approached by three men and told to "give up" his gym bag. One of the three robbers reportedly held a knife to his throat while another hit him in the head with his fist.

The resident fell to the ground and the three men reportedly took all of the man's possessions. The three were last seen heading towards Germantown Avenue on foot.

Police estimate the three attackers to be between the ages of 16 and 20. All told, over $250 in items and money were taken from the resident.

An investigation is ongoing.
