Man Arrested in Alleged Church Assult

A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a church employee in Chestnut Hill, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, an employee of St. Paul's Episcopal Church stated that, while attending service on Dec 6, a 50-year-old Ambler resident entered the church and started disturbing the service. The employee walked the man out of the church, but the man allegedly returned and slammed the employee's head against  a chair, causing a gash on on the back of his head.

Police arrested the man on charges of aggravated assault.
