Man Allegedly Borrows, then Steals Car

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

A Mt. Airy resident recently had his car stolen, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, a resident of the 600 block of E Sedgwick Street reported to police that he loaned his car to a friend in August. When the man attempted to get his car back earlier this month, the friend allegedly said that he wouldn't be returning the car.

Police attempted to reach the alleged car thief at his home but have so far been unable to make contact.

The car is estimated to be valued at $8,000
