Thief Grabs Friend's Phone, Runs Off, Police Say

Also in this police blotter, a bike valued at more than $1,000 is stolen from a garage.

Theft: On Feb. 21, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police received a report of a bicycle theft in the 8000 block of Crittenden Street.  According to police, the victim reported having his bicycle valued at more than $1,000 stolen from his unlocked garage.

Theft: On Feb. 22, police received a report of a theft in the area of the intersection of Stenton Ave. and Upsal Ave. According to police, the victim’s friend asked the victim for the time and grabbed the victim’s cell phone and ran off.

Theft: On Feb. 21, at approximately 1:30 p.m. police received a report of theft from a vehicle in the 300 block of West Mount Pleasant Avenue.  According to police, the victim reported having a Louis Vuitton purse, a driver’s license, cosmetics and a phone charger stolen from her unlocked car.
