iPhone Stolen on Germantown, Police Say

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

An area resident had their cell phone stolen out of their hands while they were making a phone call, according to a report from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, the resident was walking northbound on Germantown Avenue towards Carpenter Lane on Dec 1at approximately 1:30 p.m. The resident said that they were talking on their iPhone and walking when an unknown male approached and took the phone from the person's hand. He was last seen running south on Germantown Avenue toward Pelham Road.

The male is thought to be between the ages of 16 and 20 and was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue sneakers at the time of the incident.
