Credit Cards, GPS Stolen from Cars, Police Say

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Two bank cards were reported stolen from a car parked in West Mt. Airy, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, an individual parked their car near the intersection of Valley Green Road and Wolcott Drive at 3 p.m. on Dec 3. Upon returning to the car an hour later, the complainant found her ATM card and a Visa credit card missing from the vehicle.

Police investigating the scene reportedly found small pry marks on the right side front door of the individual's car.

A Mt. Airy resident discovered that their car's GPS had been stolen, but only after police contacted her, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, a resident of the 400 block of Wadsworth Avenue was contacted by a police officer from the 35th Police District regarding a GPS stolen from an area pawn shop. The officer advised the resident to check her car for her GPS.

The resident checked the car and reported that their TomTom GPS had been stolen. though no damage had been done to the car. The GPS is estimated to be valued at $60.
