Break-In Attempted While Resident Home, Police Say

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

A Mt. Airy resident reported that an attempted break-in occurred while she was sleeping in her house, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, the resident of the 100 block of E Pomona Street claims that sometime between midnight and 7:30 a.m. on Dec 3, an unknown party tried to gain entry into their home.

The resident claims that the front screen door was pushed in and that the back yard fence was "kicked in." The resident also claimed to find broken glass on an upstairs window ledge.

No entry was gained, police say.
