Blotter: Purse Stolen at Our Mother Consolation

Theft from auto … A man reported June 28, 12:30 a.m., that while he was parked on the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue, someone entered his unlocked car and took $20 in cash and a pair of glasses, police said.

Theft …  The store manager of Hob Nob, 7916 Germantown Ave., reported June 27, 4 p.m., that a man used a hundred dollar bill to make a purchase, then took both the bill and the $74.08 in change, but leaving the item he purchased, police said. According to police, the man was described as 55 years old, light complexion, with a chin beard and a tapered haircut.

Theft …  A woman reported June 14, 4:15 p.m. that her pocketbook, containing $400 in cash and credit cards, was taken from inside a classroom at Our Mother of Consolation, 17 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., police said.

Theft from auto … A woman reported June 25, 7:47 a.m., that while parked on the unit block of East Bells Mill Road, someone broke the front window of her car and her purse was taken, police said.
