'Basket of Electronics' Taken from Area Home

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Over $6,000 in electronics were reported stolen from a West Mt. Airy house near Chestnut Hill, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, a witness observed three unknown men loading laundry baskets full of electronics into an unknown white car in front of a house on the 600 block of W Mount Airy Avenue on Sept. 14.

Police found the front door of the property had been forced open and the second-floor bedrooms had been searched. An Apple desktop, a digital camera and several pieces of jewelry are among the items reported missing.

An investigation is ongoing.
