Assault on Germantown Avenue Last Tuesday

A man reported being hit in the head with a black jack.

A domestic dispute led to a man being taken to the hospital with minor injuries last week in Chestnut Hill.

A man reported Aug. 28, 9:37 p.m., that he and his girlfriend were having an argument over “relationship issues” at Germantown Avenue and Winston Road.  During the dispute, she grabbed him, injuring his shoulder, police said. After grabbing her boyfriend, the woman hit him in the head with what police described as a “black jack” or a small club. The victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.

The woman, Towanda Woods, 39, of Philadelphia, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, according to police.
