Accident on Stenton Leaves Two SUVs Badly Damaged

No one was injured in the two-car collision.

Wedenesday evening's commute was a little backed up for drivers taking Stenton Avenue south around Mermaid Lane. A two-car accident, along with police cars and an ambulance, blocked off a lane of traffic on Stenton starting at 5:45 p.m.

Although the accident was on the Philadelphia side of Stenton, Springfield police were first on the scene.

"The Nissan was heading left out of Mermaid and the gold car was coming south on Stenton," said Corporal Lee Allan of Springfield police.
