$7,000 Allegedly Stolen at Hospital, Police Say

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

An individual reported that her purse, which contained more than $7,000 in cash and items, was stolen from Chestnut Hill Hospital, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, the complaint reported that while she was at the hospital, she was moved from her room to a different floor for a procedure. When she returned to her room, her wallet and purse were missing.

According to her reports, the purse contained approximately $7,500 in items and cash, including a Master Card, driver's license, bank book, a pair of glasses and a set of false teeth.

Chestnut Hill Hospital did not respond to a request for comment.
