$3,000 Worth of Purchases Made with Stolen Credit Card, Police Say

A woman's wallet is stolen while she teaches a class.

A thief took a pink wallet from the Allens Lane Art Center on May 2, and then used the credit cards in the wallet to make more than $3,000 in purchases, police said.

The wallet was taken from a purse while the owner of the purse was inside the Allens Lane Art Center located at 601 West Allens Ln. teaching a class, police said.

The credit cards were then used at the CVS located at Lincoln and Mt. Pleasant and an unknown Target store, police said.
