14th District Officer Busted for Stealing from PECO, Police Say

A 14th district police officer was arrested Tuesday and charged with theft of services from three city utilitiy companys, according to a release from the the Philadelphia Police Department.

The statement says that Officer George Suarez was arrested and charged after an investigation by the Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Suarez was charged with: 10-counts of Theft of Services, 6- counts of Conspiracy and 10- counts of Rising a Catastrophe.

Suarez is a 25-year veteran of the department.
