Same Season Song for Philadelphia Eagles: A Loss

Philadelphia Eagles fall to Washington Redskins with turnovers and Red Zone mishaps.

It ended.

Like most games have ended for the Philadelphia Eagles this year. With a loss.

The last home game of the year. The last home game for Coach Andy Reid?

It ended as quarterback Nick Foles once again tried to pull off some late-game, last-minute heroics. But this time, he couldn't pull it off.

A ball fell short in the end zone to Jeremy Maclin. And a new tight end just picked up this past week dropped an easy touchdown pass.

And then the game ended on an intentional grounding call with one second left on the clock.

It ended. With 11 losses.

And the same way as most games have ended this year. With plenty of turnovers and penalties.

The Eagles finished the season at home 2-6.

Foles played decently and running back LeSean McCoy returned to have a steady, sturdy performance. Maclin came up with another big game too.

But the 27-20 loss to the Washington Redskins won't really register in a lost season.

The Redskins may be heading to the playoffs and they put together a sound, solid effort.

The focus, though, was on the Eagles and another uneven performance. They stayed in the game after taking a 7-0 lead on a touchdown to Maclin.

But they could only manage a few field goals on their next trips as the Redskins came back and put points on the board.

Reid wouldn't talk during his press conference after the game about whether the end was coming for him. The Birds now stand at 4-11.

But maybe the season will end on a high note for the team and Reid: With a victory to knock the New York Giants out of the playoffs.

I like the song. It was good that they lost to Washington. It makes it harder for NY and dalls to get in. Dallas v Washington is gonna be crazy. I'm gonna need Valium to get thru that one. I effin HATE Dallas. I want Dallas to lose more than I want the Eagles to win any given Sunday.
