Shredding Event Slated For Saturday

The event will be held at two different locations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Philadelphia Police Department, in partnership with the Shred-It Corporation, is sponsoring a personal safety day shredding event Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will be held at two locations in the city: the parking lot of Lowes, 3800 Aramingo Avenue as well as the parking lot of Chuck E Cheese and IHOP at Swanson and Snyder.

Services available include personal paper shredding, the disposal of old hardrives and the destruction of dloppy disks, CD's and DVD's.

All paper products will be destroyed on-site but other items will be destroyed at shred it facilities.
