Comcast recently launched a number of new apps for customers that work across Apple and Android platforms. These exclusive apps let you take your TV with you on the go, check schedules and scores for major league sports events, easily set your DVR and change channels on your television, and more. Here’s a look at just a few you can find in your app store:

• With the Xfinity TV Player app, you can stream On Demand content and even download premium content from Starz, Showtime, MoviePlex, or Encore so you don’t have to rely on a WiFi connection.
• The Xfinity TV app is a companion to the Player app that lets customers use mobile devices to program your DVR and control cable boxes remotely (it’s fun to change the channel on your husband while he’s holding the remote!).
• For sports fans, the Xfinity TV Sports Remote provides schedules and scores for the NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, NCAA football and NCAA men’s basketball. You can also use it to change the channel on your TV or set DVR recordings so you never miss a game.
• Xfinity Any Play lets you watch live TV on your iPad or Android  tablet anywhere in your home Wi-Fi network, so you can carry your tablet around with you and never miss a show or moment.
• Comcast TV customers also get access to live streaming apps from CNN, ESPN, Disney, Disney XD or Disney Junior using their Comcast ID.
• Customers who have Xfinity Voice can download the Xfinity Connect app – an hub for all your communications - email, voicemail, texting, calling via WiFi, contacts, calendar and more. You can make nationwide calls from mobile devices without using your minutes, and send and receive text messages without additional charges from your wireless provider. With this app you can even use a Bluetooth device to turn an iPod touch or iPad into a phone as long as you have a WiFi connection. You can also see who is calling your home number and check and manage your voicemail using the app.
• Make sure purchases made on mobile devices are secure with the free Xfinity Constant Guard app.
