There is a new law in town : Have a photo ID if you plan to vote on November 6. What identification is acceptable? If you don't have the right ID, how and where can you get it? How do you show who you are and where you live? Do you need your birth certificate? social security card? current bills sent in your name to the address where you live? What about registering to vote and voting by absentee ballot ... what identificaiton must you have to do those things? Do you know people who have these questions or who need help getting the necessary ID so they can vote?
On August 21,the PA Voter ID Coaltion will answer questions and set out a plan of action to get your identification before the general election. The Coalition can also help you if you want to help other people do the same. Free program being sponsored jointly by the Center for Enrichment and Chesnut Hill Community Association. Refreshments will be served.
