Tree Planting in Carpenter's Woods: Volunteers Welcome

Show your LOVE for Carpenter's Woods celebrating the Fall Love Your Park Day by planting trees as a volunteer!
Saturday, November 16, we will be planting oaks, gums, and serviceberry in an area near Carpenter's Run, where invasive knotweed and other plants have been removed. Volunteers, teen-age and older, are invited to join Friends of Carpenter's Woods for a fun day, improving the woods by restoring some native plantings. Join us for the morning, the afternoon, the entire day (9 AM to 3 PM), or an hour or two.

All skill levels are welcome.
Our expert leaders will show you what to do.

Gloves and tools provided.

Sturdy shoes are required; boots or work shoes are best.
The planting area is likely to be wet, as it is near the stream and swamp.

Long sleeves and long pants strongly recommended.
Dress for the weather and working off the trails.
Please bring a refillable water bottle.

Sponsored by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Fairmount Park Conservancy, and Friends of Carpenter's Woods.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
