The 5th Annual Philadelphia Honey Festival!
Join us for a three day festival, at three different historic sites in Philadelphia, celebrating our important little friend the honey bee!
The Philadelphia Honey Festival is produced in partnership with the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild, Wagner Free Science Institute, Wyck, and Bartram's Garden.
Join us for a SWEET weekend!
Friday: Honey Happy Hour, 5-7pm, Wagner Free Science Institute
Saturday: 10am-4pm, Wyck Historic House, Garden, and Farm
Sunday: 10am-4pm, Batram's Gardens
The Honey Festival at Wyck is the sweet finish to the season, offering a variety of activities that celebrate and educate about our friend the honey bee. Honey tastings, extractions, open hive demos, presentations, bee-bearding, a mead-sharing event and more!
The Behind the Fence festivals invite the community to experience the best of Wyck's programming in history, gardening, and farming. Explore our 300+ year old house and landscape and learn how history intersects everyday life in our 21st century community. Stimulate your senses and feed your soul with live local music, interactive demos, delicious food, local vendors, stimulating tours, and children's activities. Join us behind the fence to learn and do something new!
Thank you to our 2014 festival Sponsors: Weavers Way Coop, Primex Garden Center, Temple School of Environmental Design, and Door to Door Organics!
