Soldiers Project Pennsylvania to Host Clinician Training to Discuss Bereavement Skills and "Complicated" Grief

Chestnut Hill College will host a training for The Soldiers Project Pennsylvania on Bereavement Skills and Complicated Grief on Thursday, April 24th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Redmond Room, St. Joseph Hall.

The training will explore the meaning of bereavement and discuss basic bereavement skills and the multidimensional depths of grief. The discussion will also examine some of the areas of “complicated” grief, including sudden, violent death; multiple losses; suicide, and the distinction between “complicated” and “pathological” mourning.

Registration is required at least two weeks in advance. Please email Sister Nancy DeCesare, IHM, Ph.D., director of The Soldiers Project PA, at decesaren@chc.edu to register and to receive CEU credits for the training. CEU credits are free for members of The Soldier’s Project, and there will be a $25.00 charge for all non-members with or without CEU’s. Checks should be made payable to Chestnut Hill College.
