Susan Lilley will read from her award-winning book of poetry, Satellite Beach, set, according to Patricia Smith, in “Florida’s frayed paradise, rooting us squarely in the midst of its contradictions and charm”
Phillip F. Deaver, professor of English and writer in residence at Rollins College, won the Flannery O’Connor Award for his short story collection, Silent Retreats. Philip’s stories have appeared in the O’Henry Awards anthology and have been recognized in the Pushcart Prize and Best American Short Stories. Philip will read a short story and discuss fiction with the audience.
