ODDyssey Half Marathon Ladies' Night at Indigo Schuy
Spring has sprung and so has the start of running season! Shake off the winter blues with the ODDyssey Half Marathon Ladies' Running Night at Indigo Schuy. There will be a free group run, followed by free craft beer, coaching, massages and a presentation on women's running offered by Tricia Webner, DO of the Rothman Institute.
Endurance Coach, Marcy Gialdo, will be on hand at 6:00 p.m. to lead dynamic stretching and give tips on how to start the running season off on the right foot. The lovely ladies of SWIFT will lead the group through the beautiful streets of Chestnut Hill, and ODDyssey Half Marathon Race Director, Carl Ewald, will be running along with the group as well.
After the run is complete, runners will have the opportunity to loosen their muscles with complimentary chair massages from Mana Massage. They will also enjoy post run beer from Sly Fox Brewing Company, snacks from Kind Snacks, and sports drinks from BodyArmor.
Best of all, Tricia Beatty, DO, from the Rothman Institute, will present on women's health and running followed by a Q&A session. Increasingly, women are becoming the dominant players in recreational running, especially at the half marathon distance. This is an incredible opportunity for women runners to learn more about how running impacts their bodies and what they can do to keep it in tip top shape.
