Nice and Fresh: Fall Performing Arts Series of Pop-up Performances of New Theater and Dance Works

Four exciting new
theater and dance works
will premiere each month October through December
at Moving Arts of Mount Airy, transforming the studio into a pop-up performance
space. Each 10–20 minutes long, two plays, one dance and one monologue will
premiere at October’s show! And priced at only $7, it’s art for the price of a
sandwich!



October’s line up includes: SADIE REMEMBERED by Josh
McIlvain of SmokeyScout Productions, a play about a future daughter-in-law
tries to connect to her fiancée’s father as he pines his son’s first wife, performed
by Steve Lippe and Sarah Knittel; LAY OF THE LAND, by Meg Foley of Meg
Foley/Moving Parts. a solo dance
performance that responds to the collision of bodies with the presence of
outside forces; PROTECTION, by John Rosenberg of Hella Fresh Theater, a
play in which Kenny Rogers offers comfort and succor in the Keno Lounge of the
Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, Nevada; SOMETHING GREAT, a monologue written and
performed by Chris Davis, the creator of the popular and hilarious one-man
shows, Drunk Lion and Violence of the Lambs.
