Modern Art & the Metropolis

Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment sponsors light lunch followed by a spectacular "visual lecture" high-lighting the current exhibit at Philadelphia Museum of Art....the experimental decade of the 1920's in Paris when the great French modernist Fernand Leger brought painting into active engagement with the urban environment and modern mass media. Exhibit and this special program also feature work by Cassandre, Theo von Doesurg, Alexandra Ester, Abel Gance, Le Corbusier, Gerald Murphy, Piet Mondrian, Sonia & Robert Delaunay, Francis Picabia, May Ray.
