Mead Brewing & Tasting: Refining Your Skills

Wyck hosts homebrewers, hobbysists, and imbibers for a 3-part series on brewing Mead at any level. The family at Wyck brewed Mead from a family recipe found in the recipe books of Jane B. Haines circa 1810-1840. Join us to see the original recipe and learn how things have changed.

Classes will be held 11am-1pm with a Mead tasting to follow provided by The Colony Meadery in Allentown.

Saturday, February 15, Intro to Mead Making: Learn the basic tools and practices needed for a clean and healthy beverage fermentation. We will brew a batch live!

Saturday, March 8, Beyond the Basics: Explore the subcategories of mead- melomel and metheglin and the various methods of production.

Saturday, March 22, Refining Your Skills: Fermentation controls and techniques, mead "finishing" including clarification, balancing & more. Dedicated Q&A to follow.
